The Russian government signed a framework deal with Chinese companies to construct an aviation industrial park in its Far East, Russia's Minister of Far Eastern Development Alexander Galushka said.

According to the deal, the Chinese companies Baoli International and Xi'An Aircraft International Corporation will receive a construction site to create an industrial park to develop aircraft components in a priority development area (PDA) in Russia's Khabarovsk Territory

"[Signed agreement mean] investments directly into the PDA, the PDA program attracted our Chinese partners to create an industrial park and aircraft manufacturing [facility] in the Far Eastern Territory, in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur," Galushka said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

The first EEF is being held on September 3-5 in the Russian city of Vladivostok, located on the Pacific Ocean, as a platform for dialogue between international investors, the Russian government and countries of the Asia-Pacific Region.
