A deal for selling Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) aircraft to Europe will likely be closed in 2015, RIA Novosti reports with reference to VEB Head of Export Finance Department Daniil Agulyan.

“A memorandum was signed at MAKS airshow and we hope that we will be able to close the deal this year,” he said. The name of an airline or a country will be announced later, probably in a month, he added.

Vnesheconombank (VEB) State Corporation and Ilyushin Finance & Co. leasing company (IFC) are going to finance deliveries of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) aircraft to Europe. The corresponding memorandum was signed at MAKS-2015 international airshow by VEB First Deputy Chairman Petr Fradkov and IFC CEO Alexander Rubtsov.

Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) is the Russian short-haul passenger aircraft. The liner is able to carry up to 98 passengers; its range is 4,400 km. The liner performed its maiden flight in May 2008; it was put into operation in 2011. It is assembled in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The liner’s list price (basic version) is $36 million.
