AURA AERO, the new digital and eco-efficient aeronautical manufacturer, whose aim is to become a major actor of tomorrow’s aviation, has just closed a hybrid fundraising, and announces the participation, as from this month, of Innovacom, an independant venture capital firm specializing in digital technology. This operation will enable AURA AERO to close its series A funding group, corresponding to the financing of the Integral program and the set up of the manufacturer’s final assembly line and industrial resources. AURA AERO is now in full capacity to begin its commercial development.

The interest in AURA AERO’s project of Innovacom, recognized for its capacity to anticipate technological breaks, is an important step, validating the manufacturer’s strategy of combining digital and aeronautical technologies. This strategy, applied to electric propulsion, will help develop new eco-responsible and profitable air transport means. Until now, the manufacturer developed thanks to the support of individuals, professionals and aviation and new technologies enthusiasts, with the help of the Occitanie Region and the BPI (French Public Investment Bank).

The first deliveries of Integral R (thermic propulsion), the first aircraft of the Integral family, which is currently in the certification phase and totalizes 100 orders including 4 firm, will take place at the end of 2021. The prototype of the S version, designed for pilot schools, will take off next summer and should be certified by the end of the year. Finally, thanks to this last round of fundraising, the development of an electric version, Integral E, will start shortly, with the implementation of an integration bench for the electric propulsion chain.

Jérémy Caussade, President and co-founder of AURA AERO, said: « With the arrival in our capital of Innovacom, who has seen the innovative potential of AURA AERO through the combination of digital and aeronautical technologies, the Integral program is now fully launched. This new step will enable us to secure the financing of the aircraft up to the launch of its electric version».

Jérôme Faul, Managing Partner of Innovacom, said : « AURA AERO is setting up a fully digital process for design / manufacturing, which no aircraft manufacturer has done yet, serving the aeronautical industry’s environmental transition. This positioning is perfectly aligned with INNOVACOM’s investment theory, since we promote digital transition to foster environmental transition in the different industrial sectors. We are proud to be able to support the founders of AURA AERO in the implementation of their vision ».
