Fast-growing Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air signed an agreement with China Development Bank’s CDB Leasing to finance six Airbus A321ceos. The deal includes the carrier’s first two A321s scheduled for delivery later this year.
“We’ve developed a strong relationship with CDB Leasing as they continue to support our growth, now financing the first of our new A321s,” CEO József Váradi said in a statement.
Terms of the agreement were not released.
Wizz Air takes delivery of its first A321ceo in November and its second in December. These aircraft are part of an existing order with Airbus.
Wizz Air recently confirmed a new order from Airbus for 110 new A321neo aircraft, which will begin delivery in 2019, pending shareholder approval.
The carrier currently operates 63 180-seat A320s, six of which are also financed by CDB Leasing and were delivered in 2014-2015.
