Coming soon to Sun ‘n Fun, Lakeland, Fla. Scheme Designers is celebrating their 25th anniversary throughout 2022. The company began with one designer working with a few aircraft manufacturers and customers, to bring custom paint schemes to all general aviation aircraft – a new concept in 1997. Since then, the company has expanded to include a team of professional aircraft livery artists who have designed aircraft schemes which are flying on over 14,000 aircraft on every continent across the globe. All visitors to Sun ‘n Fun are invited to meet the Scheme Designers team in Hangar A, at booth 017.
The company works with each customer through interactive web-based tools, allowing the customer to bring their unique vision and personality to their aircraft. The Company’s artists will work with customers through as many iterations as it takes to get the design and color combination perfect. The Company will also work with customers real time when necessary to tweak elements of their custom design until it beautifully achieves their vision.
Some Scheme Designers customers also want or need more than a profile and a planview drawing. For these customers, Scheme Designers also offers the unique ability to provide a photo-realistic, 3D digital rendering of their aircraft with their custom livery.
Paint shops insist on Scheme Designers also. Once the design is completed, Scheme Designers will prepare detailed dimensions drawings, to 1/8” or 1mm, along with comprehensive written specifications for the customer’s chosen paint shop. These detailed schematics provide a paint shop with everything they need to accurately apply the paint or vinyl scheme to the customer’s aircraft with precision and efficiency.
Free Workshops by Craig Barnett at Sun 'n Fun 2022
Scheme Designers Owner and Chief Designer, Craig Barnett, will host three free workshops at AirVenture 2021. Mr. Barnett’s world-renowned workshop is presented in a dynamic, engaging, educational and entertaining, graphic-rich and visually stimulating media.
The interactive workshops include use of hundreds of photos and design renderings illustrating best practices for aircraft paint scheme design.
