BAA Training Vietnam enters the long-term business partnership with Vietravel Airlines by signing a Memorandum of Understanding for five-year comprehensive cooperation and Type Rating service agreement. The agreement outlines the provision of flight crew training and simulator leasing.

Based on the signed MOU and the service agreement, BAA Training Vietnam will provide a wide range of aviation training services for Vietravel Airlines. They will include MPL, Type Rating, simulator leasing, cabin crew and dispatcher training from the basic, recurrent, upgrade, refresh and others according to the airline’s needs. The new MPL program with competency-based training methods and threat management techniques incorporated in all phases is key for preparing a new generation of safety-conscious and highly competent pilots.

Mr. Vytautas Jankauskas, CEO of BAA Training Vietnam, commented: “BAA Training Vietnam and Vietravel Airlines have reached a new level of partnership and looking forward to fruitful long-term cooperation. Our companies share the same values regarding aviation training: both are advocates of high-quality, comprehensive training complying with the regulatory requirements, where professionalism and aviation safety practices are fundamental. Our tight cooperation with Vietravel will allow us to combine our efforts and prepare the necessary number of highly qualified pilots with the right skill set to meet the needs of the growing airline.”

Mr. Vu Duc Bien, CEO of Vietravel Airlines, said: “the signed MOU today with BAA Training Vietnam is a long-term vision that the airline has set in choosing a training partner to bring significant value for the development of our human resources. This collaboration is also an effort by the airline to carry out its purpose of connecting and transmitting unique experiences to passengers in the most thoughtful, caring, and ideal ways.“

The first groups of MPL and Type Rating students will include 20 students each annually starting from 2022. The number of students will be increasing proportionally with the aircraft fleet growth that Vietravel Airlines will face over the upcoming years.

To enhance synergy, BAA Training Vietnam and Vietravel Airlines will collaborate closely at every stage of the abovementioned projects. They will share their resources, such as facilities, instructors, equipment, etc., as well as know-how and consult each other while making important equipment-related decisions.

BAA Training Vietnam operates two Airbus A320 full-flight simulators (FFSs) and expects new equipment: 4 more Boeing and Airbus families FFSs and flight training devices (FTDs Level 2) are coming in 2022-2023.
