ALSIM announced recent acquisition of an AL250 by Valenciennes-based Carbon Flight Academy. This new acquisition marks the fifth AL250 in service in France. The AL250 simulator addresses initial phase training needs (PPL,CPL, IR/ME) and is SEP/MEP re-configurable simulator certified as an EASA FNPT II. In addition, it offers both classic and glass cockpit for each flight model at the simple flick of a switch. This device has been extremely well received since its creation and more than 100 of these have already been installed and are in successful operation worldwide.
Stéphane Hespel, Carbon Flight Academy’s Director and Head of Training, explains his choice: "The aspiration of Carbon Flight Academy is to provide thorough training for aspiring airline pilots, utilizing cutting-edge equipment of the latest generation, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to minimizing the environmental impact of our operations. Our primary goal is to make high-quality training accessible at an affordable cost, enabling us to share our passion with a wide range of people. When establishing Carbon Flight Academy, I sought out a simulator that would align with the core values of our project. My choice fell upon the AL250 simulator, developed by ALSIM, a renowned French company recognized for its technical expertise and product reliability. This simulator, infused with the latest advancements, perfectly aligns with our requirements by immersing our students in the latest aviation technologies. It also ensures an efficient pedagogical transition to our aircraft fleet, concurrently reducing the overall flight hours logged by aircraft in our training programs."
Audrey Jeffroy, ALSIM Sales Director, commented: “We thank Carbon Flight Academy team for their confidence in our flight training solutions and services. The new AL250 simulator will help provide consistency and quality in their training. We believe this is the beginning of a successful cooperation between our two companies.”
Carbon Flight Academy is ideally located in Valenciennes, just 40 minutes from Lille, 1h30 from Brussels and 2 hours from Paris. The school offers a full range of training modules to become an airline pilot, including Private Pilot License (PPL), Night Rating, Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), Multi-Engine Rating, Instrument Rating, English Radio Telephony Rating, Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Captain Upgrade Training.
