FACC figures among the international technology leaders in the aerospace industry and is renowned within the industry as a high-performing development and manufacturing partner for innovative lightweight components. An increasingly important field of activity for FACC is the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft components and systems. Having recently obtained EN 9110 certification, FACC is entering the global Champions League of aircraft maintenance. With this quality seal, FACC fulfills the prerequisite for including aircraft components and systems of all manufacturers in its service portfolio. FACC is the only company in Austria that has been awarded this certification and is now part of a small circle of authorized specialist companies worldwide

The long-term forecast for the aviation industry clearly shows that the number of air passengers will once again significantly increase in the coming decades. The aviation industry is therefore committed to making flying safer, more comfortable, more sustainable and more economical. For FACC, maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft components and systems are increasingly gaining in importance. The successful certification according to EN 9110 testifies to the high quality and expertise that FACC guarantees its customers in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft components and systems. EN 9110 sets standards for reliable quality management for all companies operating in the area of repair, maintenance and overhaul in the civil and military aerospace industries.

Exclusive quality seal with a strong impact

"The technology behind aircraft is highly complex. For this reason, the demands placed on companies to be allowed to perform these MRO services are accordingly strict," explains Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG. "With the EN 9110 approval, FACC has been granted the highest international MRO certificate of competence. With this seal of quality we can now provide maintenance and repair for components and systems from all manufacturers," adds Machtlinger.
FACC is the first company in Austria to receive this prestigious EN 9110 certification. There are only approximately 800 companies worldwide that are authorized to work in the elite field of MRO.

FACC has thus once again confirmed its position as a front-runner and international leader in the highly innovative aerospace sector. "With this seal of quality, we can offer our customers even more benefits, increase our competitiveness in the MRO sector and make optimal use of the opportunities available on the rapidly growing global market," states Hubert Kern, Vice President Quality at FACC.

Besides its headquarters in Ried im Innkreis (Austria), FACC also operates specialized MRO facilities in Wichita (USA) and Montreal (Canada). The company offers customized modifications, repair solutions and overhauls. “The EN 9110 certification marks an important milestone in this regard as it underpins our firm commitment to customer satisfaction, safety and high-quality services," emphasizes Christian Mundigler, VP FACC Aftermarket Services. Further to the existing official approvals of the European (EASA), the US (FAA), the Canadian (TCCA) and the Chinese (CAAC) aviation authorities in Part 145 Maintenance and Repair, FACC positions itself with the attained EN9110 certification as MRO general provider for all manufacturers and operators of aircraft.
