There is a range of ways to develop business and establish a presence in new markets. Yet probably the most sustainable way to this, is to leverage synergy with a long-term trusted partner. Such business case has just been launched in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where FL Technics started its line maintenance business to provide solutions for Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.

Successful ongoing partnership in other markets between the two companies, led to mutual commitment of growth in the Middle East, where Wizz Air is launching new travel routes, while FL Technics established a dedicated entity to serve flights in and out of Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), supporting carrier's fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. The new location is the second FL Technics line maintenance station in the region, in addition to the currently operated station in Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Wizz Air will benefit from global MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) service provider as FL Technics has setup a full-fledged line maintenance package under GCAA certification, including scheduled and on-call maintenance, parts and components supply chain services, as well as management and administration of the projects in-line with UAE regulations and requirements.

New capacity and capability with GCAA approval is decisive strategic step, enabling FL Technics to establish its presence in Middle East region which has now for years demonstrated ever-growing potential and impressive developments within aviation industry. With vast numbers of passengers, world leading airlines, and pool of renowned lessors it is the go-to-market for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul solutions.

Zilvinas Lapinskas, CEO of FL Technics, emphasized the rigorous process of launching brand-new business line in highly competitive market:

“United Arab Emirates has always been perceived as a pinnacle of global aviation, a hub of highest standards and quality, would it be state-led activities, or global business operations. Thus, I am excited to see the success of our team, meeting the benchmark of services, and starting dedicated line maintenance entity with GCAA approval in place. I am also glad to see ambitious growth of our long-term partner – Wizz Air – and proud to support it from the very beginning. And I am sure, this is only the start of more strategic projects and developments for FL Technics in the region.”
