CALGARY, ALBERTA—(Marketwired – Oct. 14, 2015) – FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. (“FLYHT” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE:FLY) (OTCQX:FLYLF) reported today it has received a re-issued Supplemental Type Certificate (“STC”) for its Automated Flight Information Reporting System (“AFIRS™”) 228 on the Airbus A320 series aircraft from the Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”). The STC has been re-issued to add the AFIRS 228 to this existing STC.

“The FAA in the U.S. and EASA in Europe are the largest certification authorities as well as the most recognized,” commented Jeff Brunner, FLYHT’s Vice President of Certification Engineering & China Operations. “Many smaller countries and leasing companies accept approval from the state of manufacture to install equipment such as AFIRS so this STC opens many doors to potential customers.”

The Company also received the provisions STC on the Bombardier DHC-8-400 series aircraft for theAFIRS 228 from Transport Canada. A provisions STC allows FLYHT to install and complete a test flight on a customer’s aircraft in order to receive the full STC. There are currently two prospective customers who will potentially take advantage of this STC to utilize AFIRS and allow for full certification on their aircraft.

A STC constitutes regulatory approval to modify an aircraft’s design while retaining airworthiness certification and is necessary to permit retrofit installation of aeronautical products such as AFIRS. A full list of FLYHT’s STCs is available on the company’s website.
