GAMIT an AMAC Aerospace Company, based in Stansted, UK has been awarded a long-term contract to digitize the technical records of SAS’s fleet using the aerospace industry leading software produced by GAMIT called ROAM (Records Online Asset Management) which is a digital records management solution. SAS will utilize ROAM to further modernize its operations and seamlessly manage the technical documentation generated by its fleet, using ROAM’s unique functions and integrations to monitor & manage airworthiness compliance. ROAM is a tool that will enable SAS to capitalize on operational efficiencies optimizing manpower and aid their continuous improvement objectives.

Aron Winsth, Manager Aircraft transfer and Records of SAS commented: "I am excited to start using the ROAM system as our digital records system. This will give us a completely new way of working. We will also, in an efficient and less time-consuming way be able to have full control over our airworthiness document(s), finding document(s) with the advanced search function and being more proactive in returning aircraft. This is fully in line and allows us to continue with our digitization strategy."

Chris Leese Wood, Chief Operating Officer of GAMIT said: “Securing a 10-year contract with SAS for ROAM marks a transformative milestone. This partnership underscores our commitment to delivering reliability, enhancing efficiency and communication across departments as well as providing key innovations to streamline asset management and compliance. ROAM will empower SAS to elevate operational activities and we look forward to working as a key partner for SAS for years to come”.

GAMIT was founded in 1990 and selected London Stansted Airport as its headquarters location at the time due to the expansion plans for it to become a major London International Airport. The specific aim of Gamit was and still is to supply professional and technical support to local and international MROs (Maintenance Repair Organisation), airlines, private and corporate aircraft owners.

One of its most popular products is ROAM, which uses the most advanced technologies in the world to deliver the best document management solution in the aerospace market available today. ROAM is highly scalable and beneficial to any technical services department for 1 aircraft or over 1,000 aircraft.

Since 2021, GAMIT is a member of the ‘AMAC Aerospace Group of Companies’.
