Heli-One announced that its Rzeszow, Poland facility has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval to provide base maintenance service for Leonardo AW139 aircraft. Heli-One Poland’s facility, which opened in 2014, provides base maintenance support for Airbus AS332, H225 and H135 aircraft. Additionally, Heli-One offers component repairs, including AW139 exhaust ducts.
The Rzeszow facility recently received EASA approval for AW139 tail assembly modifications (Service Bulletin 139-419). Together, these approvals offer AW139 operators a new cost-efficient maintenance alternative at a state-of-the-art facility with competitive turnaround times.
This expansion to include base maintenance capability gives AW139 operators an economically-competitive service option located in the heart of Poland’s “Aviation Valley”.
The approved base maintenance capabilities offered from Heli-One’s Poland facility include:
The new base maintenance capabilities expand Heli-One’s ability to provide operators worldwide with industry-leading helicopter maintenance. Heli-One also already offers AW139 base maintenance and component repair at its facilities in Delta, Canada and Stavanger, Norway.
The 65,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Poland has a maintenance hangar capable of accommodating up to six large airframes, a fully equipped avionics workshop, a structure shop with a specialized tail boom repair area, and a dedicated paint bay.
“The team in Poland has grown their Leonardo AW139 expertise and capabilities extensively in the last year and they are excited to support this well-regarded helicopter type,” said Anthony DiNota, President, Heli-One. “This new base maintenance capability will give AW139 operators a competitive MRO option in a technologically-advanced facility strategically located in central Europe. The additional component and modification capabilities added also pave the way for this facility to become a market leader in maintenance.”
