Academy 147 Ltd., an aircraft maintenance training organisation based in Malta, and Netherlands based maintenance provider JetSupport B.V., have decided to collaborate and offer highly specialized type training courses on Dassault Falcon aircraft.

This arrangement will allow for Academy 147 to offer integrated EASA Part-147 Theoretical and Practical training courses under one roof.  Through this cooperation, regular courses will be scheduled in Amsterdam to provide Type and Familiarisation training on Dassault Falcon 7X, 2000 and 900 series aircraft, among others. Theoretical courses will entail regular aircraft visits and live demonstrations in an active maintenance environment.  The Practical Element is also a specialized, hands-on, training programme developed by Academy 147 whereby students will perform a variety of maintenance tasks and troubleshooting in a live maintenance environment.  This will allow for students to gain hands-on experience working on the aircraft and gaining insight into the common snags experienced during maintenance events.

“Our cooperation will allow for a one stop solution to training and will help operators and maintenance organisations streamline their training procedures.  It will create a convenient and cost-effective solution for training on Dassault Falcon aircraft, offering a European and EASA centered approach to Part-147 maintenance training.  I believe that through this agreement, we are well positioned to deliver product knowledge and support and help make technical type training more accessible in Europe” – Andy Trinchero – Accountable Manager of Academy 147.

According to Martin Elfferich, Maintenance Manager of JetSupport “Academy 147 and JetSupport share similar values, being smaller, customer oriented organisations poised on offering flexibility and a personal touch to our respective services.  We contracted Academy 147 for various Practical training courses in 2016 and we were impressed with their level of dedication, organisation and the quality of their training as well as the experience of their trainers, so we thought that both companies could benefit from such an arrangement. Due to the values we share, It’s a natural fit.”

In 2017, Theoretical and Practical courses have been scheduled on the Falcon 2000EX EASy, Falcon 900 EASy and the Falcon 7X/8X. as well as differential courses covering the variants within each series.  The companies plan to utilise this cooperation to expand their offerings and give a value-added service to the Business Aviation industry.
