General Atomics AeroTec Systems has reached another milestone in Do228 pilot training: Following the successful certification of the Do228 Flight Simulation Training Device as FTD Level 2, GA-ATS has adapted all training programs of the Approved Training Organization to the state-of-the-art flight simulator. Thereby, the company is setting new standards in practical and efficient pilot training for the Do228 special mission aircraft.
Versatile training courses with the OEM
GA-ATS now offers a variety of EASA-approved training courses that ensure the full utilization of the FSTD for prospective and experienced pilots. The respective training courses consist of flight hours in the simulator and subsequent flight training on the real aircraft.
Approval for type rating obtained
Particularly noteworthy is the approval for the type rating of the Do228 NG / NXT aircraft as well as the associated refresher and differences training courses. In addition, GA-ATS can now also train flight instructors for this aircraft type in order to further expand training skills.
The new training for flight operations with several pilots (multi-crew) is another significant innovation. This addition expands the range of training courses on offer and enables even more realistic and practically oriented training for crews working together in complex operational environments.
Maximum training success with state-of-the-art simulator technology
The integration of the FSTD into the training program of General Atomics AeroTec Systems brings decisive advantages for pilot training:
With the new certification and the comprehensive optimization and expansion of the training programs, GA-ATS strengthens its position as the world's leading training organization for Do228 pilots. The flight simulator provides a realistic, safe and cost-effective environment for pilot training and ensures optimal preparation for real flight operations, supported by the profound know-how and expertise of the Do228 OEM.
