Teterboro, N.J.-based Meridian Jet Center, an FBO and Part 145 certified repair station, received FAAauthorization for maintaining the Gulfstream G200 (formerly the IAI Galaxy). Gulfstream produced 250 G200s between 1999 and 2011. “Our highly trained technicians now have the ability to support our customers with a wider range of options,” said John Langschultz, vice president of Meridian Jet Center. “The G200 is a very versatile super-mid, and we are excited to add it to our list of FAA-approved airframe models.”
The MRO is also a Honeywell-authorized service center for the TFE731 and -36 Series APU, in addition to being a Northeast Honeywell avionics and mechanical parts depot. Meridian Jet Center technicians can work on Beechjets, Challengers, Citations, Falcons, Gulfstreams, Hawkers and Learjets.
The company is also opening its second FBO location—at Hayward (Calif.) Executive Airport—next year and appointed a California-based sales executive as it expands to the West Coast. MaKayla Hambek, who had worked at several FBOs at Van Nuys airport, is joining the company as a sales executive responsible for building business at the new Meridian FBO, hangar, charter and aircraft management businesses. Hambek holds a business management degree from California State University at Northridge.
