Pratt & Whitney will expand its global network of providers that maintain the Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engine to include OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal S.A., an Embraer Group company. OGMA will provide engine maintenance for the PW1100G-JM engine for the Airbus A320neo aircraft family at its facility in Alverca, Portugal.

“We are excited to welcome OGMA to the GTF MRO network,” said Dave Emmerling, vice president, Commercial Aftermarket at Pratt & Whitney. “With OGMA, we add a capable maintenance provider with more than 100 years of engine overhaul experience. As the GTF fleet continues to grow, the network will be ready to support our expanding global customer base.”

OGMA will become the fifth engine center in Europe within the GTF MRO network, along with EME AERO in Poland and, in Germany, MTU Aero Engines Hannover, Lufthansa Technik Hamburg and Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey.

“We are excited to work on the game-changing GTF engine with Pratt & Whitney and the other members of the GTF MRO network,” said Alexandre Solis, CEO at OGMA. “We look forward to extending our relationship with Pratt & Whitney, while supporting GTF customers in Europe and beyond.”

The growing GTF MRO network is made up of the industry’s leading MRO companies, including International Aero Engines, LLC, members Pratt & Whitney, MTU Aero Engines and Japanese Aero Engines Corporation (JAEC). By the end of 2020, there will be nine active GTF MRO engine centers. The GTF MRO network is part of Pratt & Whitney’s EngineWise® service solutions, which provides engine operators with a variety of aftermarket services resulting in long-term, sustainable value.
