ALSIM has supplied a second AL42 simulator to Airbus Flight Academy Europe (AFAE). The simulator was delivered to the AFAE site in Angoulême, France.
The AL42 is an exact replica of the Diamond DA42, built using genuine aircraft parts and equipped with the latest real-world Garmin G1000 avionics suite. It also comes with the latest generation visual system, GFC 700 autopilot and PBN/LPV capabilities.

Airbus Flight Academy Europe is a 100% subsidiary of Airbus Group. It was created in 2006 to supply the training assets and services to support the French Air Force and French Navy pilot schools for elementary, basic and advanced pilot training. For the purpose of these contracts, Airbus Flight Academy operates a fleet of 100 aircraft including 54 state owned aircraft (Xingu, Cap 10, D140) and 52 trainer aircraft property of the company (Grob 120A-F, Cirrus SR20 and SR22 and Diamond DA42 VI).
The Company owned aircraft are modern, fitted with full glass cockpit avionic and are IFR rated. In addition, Airbus Flight Academy Europe operates on its site and customer sites a fleet of FNPT 2 qualified simulators to offer the best training solutions to student pilots. Now, Airbus Flight Academy Europe deploys its own pilot training capacity while joining the Airbus Pilot Cadet Training Programme. The training center sited in Angoulême, South West of France, offers all needed training facilities and assets to provide our cadets the best training conditions.
