Sevenair Academy, the largest and oldest aviation academy in Portugal and an international reference for the industry has acquired L3Harris pilot training assets in Portugal after na international closed tender.
Alexandre Alves, Sevenair Chief Commercial Officer, commented:“We learned in May that L3Harris was moving out of Portugal closing its activity and being Portugal our main base of operations we had to try to make this consolidation. We managed to get approved for a closed tender where I believe we were 8 bidders of which some were highly renowned international companies. After several stages of the process our offer was considered the winning offer.”

With this acquisition Sevenair Academy becomes the largest pilot training school in Europe with 3 training locations in Portugal, over 30.000m2 of dedicated facilities, over 50 aircraft of which 40 are equipped with glass cockpit and are not more than 4 years old, 6 simulators and a 134 double room campus to accommodate the students all that combined with a consolidated experience of over 42 years training thousands of pilots.

This unique capability in terms of offer aligned with the best flying conditions in Europe will allow Sevenair Academy to train 400 students per year mostly international students not only in the B2C market but also for some B2B customers such as leading European and Middle East Airlines who are in need of a large pipeline of highly trained pilots.
