SG Aéro based at the Troyes LFQB airfield, France, has bought an ALSIM AL250 simulator. The AL250 simulator addresses initial phase training needs (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and is SEP/MEP re-configurable simulator certified as an EASA FNPT II and TC Level 2 IPC. In addition, it offers both classic and glass cockpit for each flight model at the simple flick of a switch. This device has been extremely well received since its creation and more than 80 of these have already been installed and are in successful operation worldwide.
Stéphane Guelin, President, and Education Manager of SG Aero, commented: "SG Aero wants to be a human scale school to remain the closest possible to the needs of its trainees. The choice of an ALSIM simulator was dictated by the quality of conception and design, and the assistance the operator gets throughout the life of the simulator. I have been an ALSIM simulator user for many years and I did my IR/ME training on one of the very first AL100s which only had a TV screen as a display system. ALSIM is a great company that listens to its customers. The AL250 is the best compromise for starting an ATO because it is a versatile and compact simulator."
Audrey Jeffroy, ALSIM's Sales Director, said: " We are very pleased to count SG Aero among our customers. Stéphane with several years of experience in the aviation world is passionate, and hardworking and has always been an advocate of the use of ALSIM flight simulators as an essential tool in the flight training process."
SG Aero is now under the ATO approval of the Aeropyrénées school. The school has two aircrafts and others for rent according to the training courses. Stéphane Guélin, President and Education Manager of SG Aéro, worked for two years at ALSIM and participated in the opening and development of the school in Cholet.
