SR Technics, a world leading MRO service provider, recently completed the 200th aircraft for easyJet at its Malta facility. The landmark aircraft from easyJet departed from Malta International Airport for Geneva, Switzerland.

“As our launch customer in Malta, the partnership with easyJet has been essential to our company’s success and development at our Mediterranean hub,” says SR Technics CEO Jeremy Remacha. “We’ve been working with easyJet for well over a decade, and the 200th aircraft symbolizes our long-term partnership.”

The local SR Technics team of highly skilled engineers has worked steadily over the past years to ensure the company meets the needs of easyJet and delivers aircraft on time. SR Technics General Manager in Malta, Arthur Magri, comments: “The 200th aircraft is an important milestone for both our company and our local employees. An aircraft check takes between 4000 and 8000 man hours, and every moment is important to ensuring safety, quality and on time delivery. Our local team is skilled and meticulous at what they do, and they take great pride in working for easyJet.”

Brendan McConnellogue, Head of Base and Line Maintenance at easyJet comments: “We are pleased to continue our long standing relationship with SR Technics in Malta and the successful delivery of the 200th aircraft is a fitting example of the teams pride and dedication to their work.”

The SR Technics narrow-body aircraft maintenance center at Malta International Airport provides base and heavy maintenance services and cabin modifications, combining proven quality and technical excellence with advantageous commercial terms. The service portfolio in Malta is focused on the maintenance of the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 737NG. In cooperation with Aviation Cosmetics Malta, the company also provides Lease-End Transitioning Services for the Airbus A319, A320 and A321, offering flexible options for maintaining a modern fleet.
