StandardAero has signed a new agreement with Chinese partner, ChongQing General Aviation Co., Ltd. (CQGA), establishing CQGA as the company’s first StandardAero approved service center for Rolls-Royce M250 engine maintenance services in China. The agreement was signed by CQGA and StandardAero executives on Nov. 1 at the Zhuhai Airshow.

The new agreement will provide Chinese operators access to an approved facility for M250 maintenance level services with support from StandardAero, a Rolls-Royce M250 approved maintenance, repair and overhaul center.

CQGA will have the capabilities, training, tooling and inventory to support most M250 operations and maintenance requirements on-site at its state-of-the-art Chongqing location. StandardAero will provide overhaul level maintenance from its Singapore location.

“With our new partnership, CQGA will have access to the StandardAero support network, engine parts, approved training programs and engineering support for their customers operating M250 engines,” said Manny Atwal, vice president and general manager for StandardAero Helicopters. “We’re excited about our first partnership in China, providing ground level to support a helicopter market that should see significant growth in the coming years.”

In addition, the agreement will assure that Chinese customers’ M250 engines will be maintained in accordance with engine original equipment manufacturer requirements.

“Cooperating with the world’s largest independent engine MRO provider, CQGA will greatly improve its competence in engine maintenance service,” said Zou Xiangui, vice general manager of CQGA, “The new service center will be committed to provide the best services to the customers in China market.”

StandardAero has been a long-time, legacy partner servicing the Rolls-Royce helicopter engine family for nearly 50 years and is one of the oldest, largest and broadest capability organizations in the Rolls-Royce FIRST network.
