Star Flight Training has expanded its fleet with four IFR-equipped Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft. This strategic acquisition brings cutting-edge technology and enhanced capabilities directly to their Virginia-based operations. Tecnam P-Mentor represents a new generation of aircraft specifically designed for modern flight training operations. Featuring an advanced avionics suite and a training-focused airframe, the P-Mentor serves as an ideal platform for students progressing from their first flight through advanced certifications.

Richard Donnelly, Director of Operations at Star Flight Training commented: “The Tecnam P-Mentor represents the latest generation in flight training technology. The aircraft combines excellent fuel efficiency, modern avionics, and outstanding handling characteristics, making it an ideal platform for teaching students from their first flight through advanced training. The fuel consumption on the Tecnam P-Mentor is excellent,” Donnelly added. “It burns roughly half the fuel of many traditional training aircraft, which allows us to operate for extended training missions throughout the day while maintaining strong operational efficiency.”

Matt Hunt, Office Manager at Star Flight Training stated: “Here at Star Flight Training, we are committed to providing the highest quality flight training with the best equipment available. The Tecnam P-Mentor delivers a premier training experience that our students truly appreciate.”

By integrating the P-Mentor into its fleet, Star Flight Training is able to deliver a more efficient, technologically advanced, and engaging training experience for its students. With significantly lower fuel consumption compared to traditional training aircraft, the P-Mentor allows the school to operate longer training missions while actively reducing operating costs and environmental impact. Furthermore, the aircraft’s modern cockpit ensures students train with technology that closely reflects what they will encounter throughout their aviation careers.

John Armstrong, Founder and CEO of LifeStyle Aviation added:“Flight schools today need aircraft that are efficient, durable, and designed specifically for training. The Tecnam P-Mentor delivers exactly that. We’re proud to partner with Star Flight Training as they build a modern fleet that will help train the next generation of pilots.”

Walter Da Costa, Tecnam Chief Sales Officer, said:“We are thrilled to welcome Star Flight Training to the growing family of flight schools standardizing on the P-Mentor. The US market continues to recognize the unmatched economic and educational value of our platforms. By integrating the P-Mentor into their fleet, Star Flight Training is providing its cadets with the safest, most technologically advanced aircraft available today, ensuring a seamless transition into their professional airline careers.”
