Volga-Dnepr Gulf (VD Gulf) based in Sharjah, UAE, has recently signed agreement for nose-to-tail inputs of Air Atlanta’s Boeing 747-400s for Base Maintenance checks including AD/SB & out of phase works.
The first aircraft is due to arrive at VD Gulf’s Sharjah Hangar facility on 26th June 2016, for a twenty six day layover while subsequent aircraft will follow this first input.
Recently VD Gulf has implemented an optimized maintenance process and additional improvements have been introduced including dedicated and Customer specific spares holding area for Customer supplied material kits, tools and peculiar spares.
Air Atlanta Icelandic has been constantly using the VD Gulf facility to support its strong 747 fleet based in Jeddah, KSA and the relationship between the two companies dates back from 2014.
“Based on the excellent performance and support on earlier Boeing 747 models we have further expanded our business with VD Gulf by selecting them for Boeing 747-400 Base Maintenance work covering the first batch of aircraft scheduled for 2016. We are very confident that this will further strengthen our relationship for many years to come", said Mr. Orn Johannsson, Manager Base Maintenance, Air Atlanta Icelandic.
VD Gulf is a holder of EASA Part 145 approval certificate along with many other regulatory authority approval certificates. Currently VD Gulf is qualified to provide maintenance services on Boeing 747-400/ 737NG/737CL/B757 and Airbus A320 family aircraft. This list is expanding every moth and additional aircraft models will be added soon.
