Last Monday, Aviatic MRO opened a state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance facility at Šiauliai International Airport (SQQ), Lithuania. The new hangar facility, built in cooperation with the leading aircraft lease company World Star Aviation, is aimed to become a one-stop shop MRO for any commercial aircraft type with the ambition to be one of the leading MRO facilities in the region. The location of the aircraft maintenance facility is easily accessible from any major European hub airports – it takes only up to 3-hour flight. SQQ has 2 one of the longest runways in the region - 3,5 km length – and can accommodate any type of commercial aircraft.

The brand-new maintenance facility has 4 bays for narrow-bodies or 1 wide-body and 2 narrow-bodies configurations occupying a total area of 17,000 sq. m. including warehouses, workshops, and offices. The hangar is fully modular, can be adapted to any MRO needs, and fits up to B747-8 aircraft. Aviatic MRO will provide line and base maintenance services for the Airbus A320 and A330, as well as Boeing 737 Classic and NG aircraft including scheduled heavy maintenance checks, end-of-lease projects, Delivery/Redelivery checks, modifications, and other MRO services, based on customer’s demand.

Dmitrij Čeliadin, founder of Aviatic MRO, commented: “The opening of hangar facility marks an important achievement both for Aviatic MRO and the overall aviation sector in the Baltics. Our goal is to become a leading center for aircraft maintenance in the region and provide airlines with a wide range of customized services, including line and base maintenance, continuing airworthiness management, and spare parts supply. The hangar facility at SQQ is our strategic step in entering a new niche and offering the customers diverse maintenance services along with parking slots in front of the new hangar. This brings additional efficiency and convenience to our customers.”

As a young player in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul sector, Aviatic MRO has already managed to earn the trust of partners and customers worldwide. This new hangar facility will expand the organization’s capabilities and range of MRO services to any type of commercial jets. One of the partners of Aviatic MRO maintenance facility, a leading full-service aircraft management company World Star Aviation, highlights the importance of a new emerging MRO provider in the recovered aviation industry.

Marc Iarchy, Partner at World Star Aviation, said: „The demand for professional and comprehensive aircraft maintenance and repair services keeps rising due to the growth of air travel, shortage of spare parts, delays in manufacturing, and increasing focus on the aviation sector overall. And this new Aviatic MRO maintenance facility opens up wide possibilities for airlines and lessors to maintain their fleet. For us at World Star Aviation this achievement of our partners means new horizons for cooperation, increasing efficiency in fleet maintenance, and new capacities for one-stop MRO solutions.“

Full-service operations Aviatic MRO hangar facility will begin in Q4 2023. The investment in the maintenance facility is planned up to 20m Euros and it will bring in the region around 1 000 high-skilled aviation technician jobs. Aviatic MRO opened the first stage of the entire facility which is aimed to become one of the largest aircraft maintenance centers in Europe. The company already has acquired a permit and has the land for the expansion – a second hangar with 6 bays for narrow-bodies or different configurations with 1 or 2 wide-bodies, occupying a total area of 23.400 sq. m.
