South Australia based Adelaide Aviation selected Tecnam P-Mentor as its primary trainer, and will take immediate delivery of two (2) aircraft, facilitated by Tecnam’s Australian representative, Hallmarc Aviation.
Sherman Anthoney, CEO, Adelaide Aviation Pty Ltd, commented: “Our goal is to produce safe, capable, and adaptable pilots, efficiently. After evaluating multiple training platforms, the Tecnam P-Mentor stood out because it combines outstanding flying characteristics with next-generation technology, and an exceptional balance between innovation, safety, and operational capability. The Garmin G3X Touch flight deck, constant-speed propeller, modern systems architecture, and optional ballistic parachute recovery system expose students to industry relevant, contemporary technology, while maintaining the important safe handling qualities of a primary trainer. The aircraft’s minimal environmental footprint; high operating efficiency; quietness, both inside and out; and long endurance, are perfect for flight training. Another key factor in our choice of Tecnam was the high quality support and guidance provided over many years, by local representative, Hallmarc Aviation.”
Walter De Costa, Tecnam Global Sales & Marketing Director, stated: “The P-Mentor is proving very popular world-wide with forward looking flight schools seeking ‘the best of all worlds.’ We’re delighted that Adelaide Aviation is joining the fast-growing Tecnam family and look forward to introducing other aircraft in our training fleet to their offering as they continue to grow.”

Michael Loccisano, CEO of Hallmarc Aviation, said: “From our first contact with Adelaide Aviation, several years ago, we have been impressed by their thoroughness, professionalism, safety, focus on a modern, forward looking fleet solution, and determination to succeed. They have gone from strength to strength. The acquisition of two Tecnam P-Mentors will position Adelaide Aviation as the flight school of choice in South Australia.”
Tecnam P-Mentor is a two-seat, low-wing, single-engine, CS-23 EASA and FAA IFR certified aircraft produced by leading Italian manufacturer, Tecnam. The aircraft is popular as it offers a single platform for ab initio, private, commercial, and instrument training. Powered by the Rotax 912iSc engine, of 100 hp, the aircraft is famous for its modern look; fuel efficiency (yielding long range for cross country flights, or long periods of flight training without having to refuel); Garmin G3X touch glass cockpit; and safe handling characteristics. https://tecnam.com/aircraft/p-mentor/
