Airbus has launched Alpha Component Solutions, a 50:50 joint venture with Air France dedicated to delivering comprehensive A350 component support services. Jointly operated by Airbus and Air France-KLM, the new company manages a global shared-access component pool, offering operators access to spare parts, maintenance expertise, repair services, and end-to-end supply chain management.

By combining the strengths of Airbus’ Flight Hour Services (FHS) program and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), Alpha Component Solutions is positioned to meet the growing long-term maintenance needs of the worldwide A350 fleet. The joint venture already supports more than 500 aircraft under contract and leverages a global service network to provide efficient, scalable support for both existing and future A350 operators as the market continues to expand.

Anne Brachet, Executive Vice President Air France-KLM Engineering & Maintenance commented: “For A350 operators, reliable access to components is essential to maintaining fleet availability and operational performance. At AFI KLM E&M, we combine extensive maintenance expertise with firsthand airline operational experience. By combining this understanding with Airbus’ FHS capabilities, Alpha Component Solutions will provide customers with a broader support network and solutions tailored to their operational needs. Our focus is on helping airlines maintain reliable operations as their fleets continue to grow.”

Cristina Aguilar Grieder, Senior Vice President Customer Services Commercial Aircraft at Airbus stated: “This joint venture represents a major step forward in enhancing our A350 component support, bringing together the expertise and resources of both Airbus and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance to deliver optimised solutions to our customers worldwide.”

Alpha Component Solutions is setting a new benchmark in integrated component support for the A350, bringing together component pooling, maintenance expertise, and advanced supply chain management under a single global platform. Designed to enhance aftermarket efficiency, the joint venture combines operational excellence with tailored support solutions that improve component availability, boost reliability, and optimise maintenance throughout the aircraft lifecycle.

By joining forces, Airbus and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) are reinforcing their shared commitment to delivering long-term operational resilience and seamless fleet support for A350 operators worldwide. The collaboration enables airlines to benefit from a comprehensive service offering backed by extensive industry expertise and a global support network.

Across every stage of an aircraft’s lifecycle, Airbus continues to serve as a trusted partner to airlines, leveraging its worldwide ecosystem of engineering know-how, digital capabilities, spare parts, and maintenance services to help operators maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
