Ascendance signed a Letter of Intent with PhilJets to acquire five additional aircraft, strengthening its relationship with one of the leading aviation operators in the Philippines. The signing occurred in the presence of Laurent Saint-Martin, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad.. This new LOI brings the total number of Atea aircraft pre-ordered by PhilJets to 15. In addition, Ascendance & PhilJets have entered into a strategic partnership to explore how Ascendance's hybrid electric VTOL can address the challenges of regional air mobility across the Philippine archipelago.

This step in the partnership between Ascendance and PhilJets is part of a French delegation's tour of Asia, which includes visits to the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The LOI was signed during a bilateral meeting between the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Department of Transportation in Manila on Friday, April 11.

With more than 7,500 islands, the Philippines presents significant logistical challenges for transport. Ascendance VTOL's versatility - from passenger transport to medical evacuation and cargo - offers transformative solutions to connect communities while significantly reducing carbon emissions. This partnership represents a significant step in decarbonizing aviation and underlines Ascendance's commitment to providing global sustainable air mobility solutions.

PhilJets has been a key player in the Philippine aviation sector for over a decade, operating private and commercial flights and supporting over 100 helicopters through its maintenance subsidiary.
