Shenzhen-based Haylion Technologies, a leader in Advanced Air Mobility infrastructure and energy systems, and Australia’s Skyportz, developer of a patented modular vertipad solution, today announced a strategic collaboration at the AAM Asia Symposium in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. This collaboration will bring Skyportz’s innovative vertipad landing infrastructure to the Chinese market. The partnership will commence with prototype installations with Haylion Technologies in Shenzhen, China’s low-altitude economic innovation hub.

Haylion, rooted in the Greater Bay Area and a founding member of the Shenzhen AAM Group, has established itself as a systemic solutions provider for the low-altitude economy. With expertise in eMaaS, rapid charging, modular vertiport construction, and integrated operational systems, Haylion plays a central role in shaping Shenzhen’s ambitious infrastructure plan for over 1000 vertiports to service Urban Air Mobility.

Skyportz brings to the partnership its globally patented modular vertipad design, which addresses critical challenges indownwash, fire safety, and scalability. Designed to be lightweight, cost-effective, and easily deployable in diverse urban environments, Skyportz’s solution provides a pathway to the safe, flexible, and sustainable rollout of eVTOL landing infrastructure worldwide.

Dr. Hu Jianping, Founder and Chairman of Haylion Technologies commented: “Haylion has the local policy leadership, construction capability, and ecosystem influence to set the standard for AAM infrastructure in China. By integrating Skyportz’s patented vertipad technology, we can accelerate Shenzhen’s role as a model city for low-altitude transportation.”

Clem Newton-Brown OAM,Founder and CEO of Skyportz stated: “This collaboration is the first of further announcements to come as Skyportz partners in emerging AAM regions to solve the problems around urban vertiports.  Haylion’s position as a government-connected standard-setter in China, together with Skyportz’s unique intellectual property, creates a powerful platform to develop scalable vertipad solutions. Starting with prototypes in Shenzhen, we aim to provide the blueprint for urban vertipad deployment across China.”

The collaboration is designed to deliver technological complementarity and market synergy. Haylion’s eMaaS and energy hardware expertise will integrate with Skyportz’s vertipad platform, creating new infrastructure solutions tailored for dense urban use cases. The phased rollout will begin in Shenzhen, with a view to scaling across China and beyond.

This partnership reflects a new industry paradigm: ecosystem-level cooperation rather than single-entity competition, delivering sustainable and commercially viable infrastructure to unlock the potential of Advanced Air Mobility.
