The Cirrus SR Series G7 and G2+ Vision Jet have successfully achieved Transport Canada Civil Aviation certification. This certification confirms that Cirrus aircraft adhere to stringent regulatory standards set by Transport Canada concerning aviation safety, performance and operational requirements. Cirrus has delivered over 10,000 SR Series aircraft and nearly 600 Vision Jets globally. The SR Series has consistently ranked as the best-selling high-performance single-engine piston aircraft for more than two decades, while the Vision Jet has become the best-selling jet in general aviation. This impressive track record reflects Cirrus's dedication to innovation, safety and customer experience in the aviation sector.

Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus, commented:  “Pursuing TCCA certification for the newest Cirrus aircraft models, the SR Series G7 and G2+ Vision Jet, underscores our commitment to the Canadian market. This certification enables Canadian Cirrus aircraft owners to take delivery of their new Canadian-registered aircraft, further solidifying our presence in the region.”

The SR Series G7

The SR Series G7 aircraft now incorporates the Vision Jet flight deck, featuring Garmin’s advanced Perspective Touch+ avionics. This integration ensures a seamless transition for pilots moving between different Cirrus aircraft models.

The SR Series G7 boasts an intuitive, touchscreen-controlled flight deck alongside a comfortable and stylish cabin, delivering an approachable and user-friendly flight experience. This innovative flight deck not only simplifies operations but also significantly reduces pilot workload while enhancing situational awareness for both pilots and passengers.

Key features of the Perspective Touch+ system include user-friendly touchscreen interfaces, large high-resolution displays, and advanced safety systems that improve visibility and overall flight safety. Additionally, the G7 offers increased legroom and enhanced convenience features, complemented by the Cirrus IQ mobile app, which provides real-time updates on aircraft health and readiness, making travel more streamlined, safer, and smarter.

Recently, the SR Series G7 was honored with the 2024 Flieger Award and the 2024 Robb Report Best of the Best Award in the Enhanced Flight Deck category, further highlighting its excellence in design and functionality.

The G2+ Vision Jet

The G2+ Vision Jet features optimized engine performance for expanded mission capabilities, inflight Wi-Fi for a connected cabin experience, and bold colorways for added ramp presence. The improved takeoff performance creates access to 40% more airports and allows the operator to carry more with reassurance for takeoff in hot temperatures or high elevations. Cirrus recently added Auto Radar and Cirrus IQ to provide pilots with increased situational awareness and connectivity during all stages of pre-flight and inflight activities.

The G2+ Vision Jet offers a host of industry-leading technologies, including Autothrottle, Cirrus Airframe Parachute System, Safe Return Emergency Autoland and the Perspective Touch+ by Garmin flight deck. Additionally, the Vision Jet can use sustainable aviation fuel and is one of the quietest and lowest CO2 producers due to the jet’s innovative single-engine and V-tail design.

The Vision Jet is the proud recipient of the Robert J. Collier Trophy, the most prestigious aviation award, for developing the world’s first single-engine Personal Jet and implementing CAPS on the aircraft. The Vision Jet was also a partnering recipient of a second Robert J. Collier Trophy for inclusion of Safe Return Autoland which is powered by Garmin.

Cirrus continues to redefine the personal aviation industry with its two product lines – the SR Series and the Vision Jet. The SR Series and Vision Jet are now more aligned than ever with the same avionics, unmatched safety systems, luxurious cabin and comprehensive support network. Now with the introduction of the Private Pilot Program, owners are provided with a clear progression path from obtaining your Private Pilot License to earning your Vision Jet type rating.
