Embraer has delivered the first European registered Legacy 450 private jet. Registered in Belgium as OO-NEY / MSN 55010003, the aircraft was delivered to its new owner over the Christmas period.
Although the final customer is unconfirmed, the aircraft will be managed by Brussels based Smart Air, and operated by Air Service Liege.
“Being driven by innovation for more than 25 years helps me to address the business aviation management and advisory role with a new approach for the benefit of my customer,” said Stéphane Ledermann, Smart Air SA founder and CEO. “We recommended the Legacy 450 to a customer of ours long before all the very positive reports from pilots and journalists. We are convinced that this aircraft will be very successful and we can’t wait to fly it soon.”
The aircraft arrived in Belgium on January 6, and will be available for charter.
“We are very pleased to welcome Smart Air SA as the first European company to manage a Legacy 450,” said Marco Tulio Pellegrini, president & CEO, Embraer Executive Jets. The Legacy 450 delivers an unparalleled combination of comfort, performance and operational costs, which will create great value for our customers.”
Embraer has also introduced a new manufacturers serial number sequence for the Legacy 450 now that the aircraft has entered serial production.
Previously, aircraft were mixed in with the Legacy 500 serial numbers. However all new build aircraft will now have an additional 1 inserted following the 550. In parallel to this, Legacy 450 serial numbers began again from 55010001.
Previously delivered Legacy 450 aircraft are unaffected by this change.
