Flight Training Alliance deploys an Airbus A220 Full Flight Simulator in Rome at ITA Airways Flight Centre - Manufacturer publisher

Flight Training Alliance, a joint venture between Lufthansa Aviation Training and CAE, and an Airbus Authorized Training Provider, inaugurated a CAE-built 7000XR Airbus A220 full-flight simulator.This latest generation FFS is designed to replicate the flight characteristics and systems of the Airbus A220 and will be located  at the ITA Airways Flight Centre at Rome Fiumicino International Airport. Equipped with high-fidelity visuals, an immersive cockpit environment, and realistic flight dynamics, the simulator will serve as a critical training tool for ITA Airways pilots, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared to operate the aircraft safely and efficiently. The simulator is also available to train other A220 customers of FTA.

Gen. Francesco Presicce, Accountable Manager and Chief Technology Officer, ITA Airways commented: "We are proud to collaborate with FTA for the integration of the state-of-the-art Airbus A220 simulator into our Flight Centre in Rome Fiumicino. Susanne Kuehl, Chief Financial Officer, FTA stated: “The deployment of the A220 simulator in Rome marks a significant milestone, further reinforcing our partnership with ITA Airways. By facilitating a training solution onsite, ITA Airways significantly increases cost-efficiency, while we expand our training network with a very attractive training location."
