JEKTA signed a Letter of Intent with Tahseen Aviation Services, a full-service air charter innovator in the UAE, to collaborate on ascertaining the future potential of multi-purpose amphibious aviation operations across the GCC, and further into Africa and Asia.  The intent is for both parties to jointly identify, assess, and consider the potential benefits and opportunities of introducing amphibious operations across various routes with a particular focus on serving the needs of business aviation, cargo and logistics, and oil field services customers in the region.

George Alafinov, CEO, JEKTA commented: “The PHA-ZE 100 amphibious aircraft is designed to operate in various types of environments, which enables multiple operating parameters. In a region as geographically and commercially diverse as the GCC, we know it will add real value to the region’s transport network at a time when land infrastructure is struggling to keep pace with expansion demand. We are excited that Tahseen is aligned with JEKTA in the establishment and incorporation of sustainable amphibious operations. This provides us with the opportunity to share the benefits of amphibious aviation and integrate with key stakeholders influencing the region’s future aerospace sector.”

Abdulla Almutareb, Chairman and CEO of Tahseen Aviation stated: “Our interest in working with JEKTA signals our consideration for potential future collaboration around amphibious operationsto build on our established business. We believe that amphibious aviation has the potential to transform the region’s transportation network but want to secure data to inform our next steps. The indications are that the PHA-ZE 100 and amphibious aviation can increase operational efficiency and commercial opportunity, which is why we are pleased to collaborate with JEKTA.  Our intent is to work together to generate studies that ascertain where the unique properties of amphibious aviation will work as best-fit assets for the company, this important region, and further afield in new and emerging markets.”

JEKTA is developing the Passenger Hydro Aircraft – Zero Emissions 100 (PHA-ZE 100), a sustainable amphibious aircraft that delivers multiple operating applications. Flexible enough to operate from and to water, paved and unpaved runways, it supports cost-efficient, direct, and comfortable transfer to and from the region’s luxury hotels and resorts, business hubs, and oil and gas fields, whether deep in the desert, on a remote island, or out at sea.

With its diverse operational capabilities, adaptable interior configurations, and economically attractive operating parameters, the PHA-ZE 100 can support a growing range of operational demands.  Since its launch in 2022, JEKTA has already confirmed more than USD$1.35 billion in forward commitments for the PHA-ZE 100 from customers and is scheduled to begin production in 2030/2031.
