Tecnam announced the handover of a P2012 Traveller to the Alaska based Company Kenai Aviation. Tecnam innovative and modern design of an aircraft built with commuter passengers in mind will allow Kenai Aviation to bring the comfort and luxury of modern amenities and ergonomic design into their service in Alaska providing a high level of service to their communities.

Comfortably accommodating nine passengers with one or two crew, the Traveller is a new-generation, turbocharged piston-powered, twin-engine, high- wing, fixed-landing-gear aircraft. The introduction into the Kenai Aviation fleet provides their customers with cost-effective and varied configuration options, whilst always offering experiences that discerning travellers expect, such as premium interiors, in-seat power, higher class leg room and under-seat storage space.

The TKS de-ice capabilities and the rugged design of the aircraft will allow Kenai to provide reliable and on time service to the communities through the challenging weather environment of Alaska.

Tecnam’s Managing Director, Giovanni Pascale, commented: We are delighted that Kenai Aviation chose the P2012 Traveller, it is the right aircraft for their operations and for the Alaska landscape. ”

Kenai Aviation’s Owner/Director of Operations, Joel Caldwell said: “We are excited to bring a new aircraft to market here in Alaska. We believe the Tecnam Traveller fills a great need here and that as we prove its capabilities, other operators will be quick to follow us in acquisition of the aircraft type.”
