Almost two dozen combat planes and helicopters, including six Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jets and two Ilyushin Il-38 anti-submarine warfare aircraft will arrive for the Russian naval aviation in November-December, Navy Chief Admiral Vladimir Korolyov told a Military Council meeting on Tuesday.

"In the process of arming the naval aviation, a considerable number of combat hardware and armament has arrived for it. Until the end of the year, the naval aviation will receive another six Su-30SM and two Il-38 planes for operation, as well as 10 helicopters of various modifications," the admiral said.

This year, Russia has started building the Project 885 multipurpose nuclear-powered submarine Perm, the Project 20380 corvette Rezky, the Project 20386 corvette Derzky, the Project 22800 small missile ships Shkval, Shtorm and Tsiklon, and the Project 22160 patrol ship Sergei Kotov, the Navy chief said.
