Radia, designer of the WindRunner, an ultra-large cargo aircraft with unrivalled performance, will be exhibiting for the first time in France at the 55th Paris Air Show - Le Bourget. The company will be showcasing its rapidly expanding European industrial base, as well as its revolutionary solutions for transporting large cargoes to the most remote areas with the least access to infrastructure.

Mark Lemke, Vice President of Supply Chain at Radia commented: “France is a key market for Radia's future - not only as a center of aerospace excellence, but also as a strategic partner in energy and defense innovation. We look forward to building lasting industrial relationships here and throughout the region.”

Radia's stand will feature a model of the WindRunner, as well as never-before-seen visual simulations of the aircraft in operational conditions, in the presence of Radia CEO Mark Lundstrom and the company's technical experts.

Radia participation marks a key step in its international development and reaffirms its commitment to global partnerships in clean energy, defense and aerospace logistics.
The WindRunner is the largest aircraft ever built in volume, designed for dual-purpose operations in the renewable energy, defense, aerospace and humanitarian aid sectors. With a capacity of 7,700 cubic meters - 12 times that of a Boeing 747 - and a payload of up to 80 tons, the WindRunner can land on unpaved runways as short as 1,800 meters. Its unique loading capacity and minimal infrastructure requirements make it ideal for transporting everything from 100-meter wind turbine blades to satellite systems and military vehicles.

Radia has established strategic partnerships throughout Europe, notably with Leonardo and MAGROUP Magnaghi Aerospace in Italy, and with Aernnova in Spain. These collaborations, soon to be joined by agreements in France and Germany, are expected to generate several billion euros of investment and over 4,000 highly-skilled jobs in the European Union.

The WindRunner will be the largest aircraft ever built in terms of volume - with a cargo capacity twelve times greater than that of a Boeing 747 - and is designed to transport oversized loads to remote areas or areas with little infrastructure. This technological breakthrough makes it possible to deploy new-generation wind turbines that are too large to be transported overland, opening up access to clean energy in previously inaccessible regions. Designed for both civil and military applications, the WindRunner minimizes its environmental impact thanks to the use of alternative fuels, reduced ground infrastructure and optimized logistics networks that allow for significant reductions in CO₂ emissions. It offers a faster, cheaper and more sustainable transport solution for a variety of uses: clean energy, defense, aerospace and emergency response.
