Russian-Chinese intergovernmental agreement on the project of wide-body long-range aircraft can be signed before the end of this year, the head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Yuri Slusar told TASS Wednesday at the China 2015 Aviation Expo exhibition.
"We came here to discuss the draft intergovernmental agreement on the long-range aircraft project that we hope to sign before the end of the year," he said.
According to Slusar, the project is progressing according to the plan. "We are on schedule, the key date for us is March of next year, when we are going to finalize the appearance of the aircraft and approve the requirements for it," the Head of UAC said.
"We really hope that in the process of working together on the aircraft we'll extensively employ the capabilities of Russian and Chinese manufacturers of devices, components, and systems," Slusar said.
