Russia's Technodinamika holding company, involved in the manufacture of aviation units and power supply systems, is ready to join a Russian-Chinese heavy helicopter project, the company's head Maxim Kuzyuk said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Russia's Rostec deputy CEO Dmitry Shugaev said the company expected to sign a contract and an intergovernmental agreement on the heavy helicopter production in mid-2016 with China's Avicopter.
"We can offer basic systems for this machine [helicopter], including landing gears, fuel, hydraulic, electrical and oxygen systems, auxiliary power units and other [systems]," a press release obtained by Sputnik quoted Kuzyuk as saying.
In May, Rostec's Russian Helicopters and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) signed a framework agreement on cooperation in the production of advanced heavy helicopters.
The demand for the new helicopter in China could be more than 200 helicopters in the period until 2040. The expected takeoff weight of the helicopter is 38 tons. The helicopter can be adapted for around-the-clock operation in hot climates, mountainous regions and in all weather conditions.
