Samson Sky, developer of the Switchblade Flying Car, announced it has secured an $80 million investment from Dubai‑based Matin Group. According to Sam Bousfield, CEO, Founder and chief designer of the Switchblade, the funding will enable the company to establish its first 180,000‑square‑foot U.S. production facility, marking a major step toward industrializing Switchblade manufacturing.
Samson Sky announced it has signed a Joint Investment Agreement with the Matin Group, with both companies now initiating the Joint Venture that will drive the Switchblade program into commercial production. Under this framework, an additional $20 million remains to be raised to complete full production funding.
The transaction underscores Matin Group’s strategy of selectively partnering with innovative, execution‑ready companies that combine strong commercial potential with long‑term value creation. Anna V. Grebenshchikova, former aerobatic pilot and Samson Sky Ambassador, played a pivotal role in bringing the two organizations together.
“At the outset, Mr. Matin immediately recognized the Switchblade’s relevance and its ability to make a meaningful impact. Our two companies quickly advanced to a position of trust,” said Bousfield. “We are proud to have such a forward‑thinking partner as we roll the Switchblade out to the world.”
Mustafa Matin, CEO of Matin Group commented: “The future is not built by those who wait for certainty—it is built by those who recognise possibility before it becomes obvious. At Matin Group, we partner with people who have the courage to challenge convention and the discipline to deliver. Samson Sky is one of those rare companies, and we are proud to support their journey as they redefine the future of mobility, because we believe the most meaningful investments are those that create lasting value—not only for shareholders, but for society as a whole.”

With seating for two plus luggage, the Switchblade Flying Car is a hybrid‑electric driving and flying vehicle that delivers sports‑car performance on the ground and high‑performance capability in the air.
