Create from what inspires. Can aircraft have a second live after being retired? There are people who not only believe that the answer is affirmative, but actually are doing that. Repurposing airplane parts into beautiful, functional designs is an opportunity to express their passion for aviation. LuxAero Designs - the company that specializes in designing and crafting custom furniture made from reclaimed and repurposed aircraft parts. LuxAero Designs was founded by Travis Stein, a flight instructor, former airline pilot, aircraft mechanic and avid aviation enthusiast. Stein has always been fascinated by the beauty and engineering of airplanes, and wanted to find a way to give them a new life after they are retired from service.
LuxAero Designs Founder Travis Stein commented: "I love airplanes and saw all this incredible manufactured material no longer able to be part of a flying aircraft, so why not do something creative and fun? I started making some pieces for myself and my friends, and soon realized there is a demand for this type of unique and high-quality furniture. Our furniture is not only beautiful and durable, but also eco-friendly and sustainable. We are saving these parts from ending up in landfills or scrap yards and give them a new purpose and value."
LuxAero Designs sources its materials from various aircraft private sellers, auctions and salvage yards. Stein and his team of skilled craftsmen then transform the parts into functional and stylish furniture pieces, such as tables, chairs, lamps, shelves, clocks, and more. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and reflects the history and character of the original aircraft. Some of the pieces also incorporate other elements, such as wood, metal, glass, leather, or fabric, to create a contrast and balance between the old and the new.
LuxAero Designs offers both ready-made and custom-made furniture options for its customers. The company can create furniture pieces based on the customer's preferences, specifications, and budget. The company also offers free consultations and estimates for custom orders.
LuxAero Designs is launching its online website and showroom with its Grand Opening event on November 14, 2023. LuxAero Designs' online website features a selection of its products, along with descriptions and images. Customers can review ideas and conceptions and ultimately have their furniture shipped directly to their location upon order completion.
