Fast jet has announced a change of directorate as Nick Caine, chief financial officer, leave the company.

The search for Caine’s successor is underway as he plans to return to Australia next year to continue his career nearer to his family and home.

“Nick has made an invaluable contribution to the development of fastjet, in particular in restructuring the finance function and in developing our aircraft acquisition structure. We will all be sad to see Nick go but fully understand his desire to work closer to his family," said Ed Winter, Fastjet CEO.

Caine will be continuing his role until mid 2016 in order to support the transition as the new candidate takes to the role.
