Following the acquisition of Fokker by GKN Aerospace, which completed on 28 October, several changes have been announced to the Fokker Supervisory Board.
Peter Hartman has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board, effective from 28 October 2015. Hans Peter Ring retains his current position on the Supervisory Board. Additionally, Kevin Cummings, CEO GKN Aerospace, Andrew Harvey, Senior Vice President Human Resources GKN Aerospace and David Brantner, President GKN Aerospace, have all been appointed to the Board for a period of four years.
Peter Hartman has been a member of the Fokker Supervisory Board since December 2012 and is also Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Air France-KLM.
GKN Aerospace’s acquisition of Fokker Technologies marks a new phase for the business, which will focus on realizing additional commercial growth as part of a larger, global engineering business.
Hans Büthker, CEO of Fokker Technologies, said: “I would like to congratulate Peter Hartman on his appointment as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and to welcome the new Supervisory Board members. Peter combines a long and successful record in the aerospace sector with in-depth knowledge of our company and the Dutch business environment.
I would like to thank Jacques Schraven, who has stepped down as Chairman, Jacques has been a dedicated Chairman and we are very grateful to him for leading the Fokker supervisory board through intense years, through various economic and market challenges.”
