HAECO Americas announced today that Jeff Lawrence will join the company’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) leadership team as Vice President of Planning, Pricing and Production Control. Jeff will assume responsibilities that have been held by Lon Chaney, who has announced his plans to retire by the end of 2015.
In his new role, Jeff will focus on work underway to consolidate planning and certain processes, including implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, across the company’s operations in ways that will support ongoing quality and performance for the company’s MRO customers.
With over 25 years of aircraft maintenance and operations experience, Jeff brings deep experience and unique skills to his new role. Most recently, he led programme management for a prominent Asia Pacific airline, including oversight of its repair, inventory, procurement, warehouse, commercial distribution groups, as well as of one of its large base maintenance operations. Jeff also built other leadership experience over a career that included work with a global cargo airline, leading U.S.-based airlines and the U.S. Air Force.
Jim Sokol, President of MRO Services, HAECO Americas, said: “We are very excited to welcome Jeff to our MRO team, and we look forward to the creativity and experience he will bring as we continue to pursue innovative, quality-enhancing solutions for our customers.” Jeff will start in his new position in mid-November, and will be based at HAECO Americas’ corporate offices in Greensboro, North Carolina. Sokol added: “We are also most grateful for all that Lon Chaney has contributed to TIMCO and HAECO Americas since helping launch the company 26 years ago, and we wish him and his family well in the years ahead.”
