The Schiphol Group has announced that Maarten de Groof will leave his role as chief commercial officer on 1 April next year.

He has held the position since 1 February 2008, and has worked on various projects for the group and at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Schiphol Groups chief executive officer and president, Jos Nijhuis, says: “Maarten de Groof has been of great value for Schiphol. He shared his enthusiasm and knowledge and that has been very good for the airport. He contributed to both our propositions to travelers and relationships with airlines.

“Schiphol thus created an attractive, recognisable and always interesting offer for all customers and partners. Maarten has also been a fine colleague who will be missed.”

Schiphol Group says it will shortly start a procedure to find a successor for de Groof.
