Cessna Skyhawk Veris VR flight training device set for NBAA-BACE debut in Las Vegas
TRU Simulation + Training Inc. will showcase its Veris Virtual Reality Flight Training Device (FTD) for the Cessna Skyhawk at NBAA-BACE 2026, marking the simulator's first appearance at the industry's premier business aviation event in Las Vegas. The debut follows strong market momentum generated at NBAA-BACE 2025, where TRU Simulation secured its inaugural order for five Cessna Skyhawk Veris VR simulators from US Aviation Academy, with options for additional units.
Visitors to booth #3415 will be able to experience the immersive training platform through live demonstrations, offering first-hand insight into how virtual reality technology can elevate pilot training, proficiency, and overall operational readiness. This latest milestone underscores TRU Simulation's commitment to advancing accessible, next-generation flight training solutions for the aviation industry.
Jerry Messaris, president and CEO, TRU Simulation commented: “The Cessna Skyhawk Veris was designed with intentionality to support a realistic flight training experience, including a dual-seat configuration that allows instructors and students to train together on the device. As demand for pilots continues to grow, solutions like Veris help training organizations expand access to high-quality instruction and prepare students for the next step in their aviation careers.”
The Cessna Skyhawk Veris blends immersive virtual reality technology with advanced flight simulation capabilities to deliver a highly realistic and engaging training environment for fixed-wing pilots. Featuring a fully equipped cockpit that faithfully replicates the Cessna Skyhawk's controls, instrumentation, and Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite, the device enables students to train either with or without a VR headset.
Its dual-seat configuration supports instruction from both the left and right seats, making it suitable for every stage of pilot development, from private pilot certification through certified flight instructor training. Designed to achieve Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Level 7 Flight Training Device (FTD) qualification, the Cessna Skyhawk Veris represents TRU Simulation's expansion into the fixed-wing training sector, bringing next-generation immersive learning technology to a broader aviation audience.
