PAL-V, AVION and FLYVE announce strategic partnership to scale global FlyDrive training infrastructure
PAL-V has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AVION, a specialist in advanced flight training devices, and FLYVE, a developer of FlyDrive ecosystems for professional and government operators. Together, the three organisations will explore the creation of a global FlyDrive training infrastructure, combining state-of-the-art simulation technology, specialised training programmes and strategically located training centres to support the worldwide rollout of FlyDrive mobility.
Following the achievement of both automotive and aviation manufacturing certification milestones, PAL-V is accelerating efforts to build the ecosystem required for large-scale commercial deployment. A key pillar of this ecosystem is professional pilot training. Through its dedicated FlyDrive Academy, PAL-V already delivers flight training to customers and operators. The integration of advanced simulator technology is expected to further enhance the Academy’s capabilities by increasing training capacity, enabling year-round instruction independent of weather conditions, and improving both operational efficiency and sustainability.
Under the terms of the MoU, PAL-V, AVION and FLYVE will assess opportunities to develop purpose-built PAL-V flight simulators, tailored training curricula and a connected network of training facilities. The initiative aims to establish a scalable global training framework that will support the safe and efficient adoption of FlyDrive mobility across international markets.
Robert Dingemanse, CEO of PAL-V commented: "Obtaining our manufacturing licenses marked the transition from technology development to industrialisation and market deployment. As we prepare for commercial operations, it is essential that customers have access to world-class training solutions. Through this collaboration with AVION and FLYVE, we are exploring how advanced simulation technologies and international training facilities can support the future growth of the FlyDrive market."
Prachee van Brandenburg, CEO of AVION stated: "The emergence of FlyDrive mobility introduces an entirely new category within transportation and aviation. Training will play a vital role in enabling safe and efficient operations from day one. We are excited to explore how our experience in simulation and pilot training can contribute to the success of PAL-V and FLYVE in this innovative market."
Arthur van der Wees, CEO of FLYVE said: "This partnership strengthens the foundation needed for the global adoption of FlyDrive mobility, logistics and operations. Especially professional and governmental customers require efficient flight training. By bringing together PAL-V’s expertise in FlyDrive mobility solutions, AVION’s simulator technology and FLYVE’s ecosystem development, we can help create a scalable training infrastructure that supports both commercial, professional, and governmental operators and users worldwide."
AVION has established itself as a trusted provider of advanced flight training solutions, with expertise spanning the design, manufacture and lifecycle support of cutting-edge flight training devices, as well as the operation of international training centres. With facilities in key markets including London and Mumbai, the company brings extensive experience in simulator technology, pilot training systems and global training infrastructure.
Through this strategic collaboration, AVION will contribute its technical expertise and operational know-how to support the development of a scalable FlyDrive training ecosystem. The Memorandum of Understanding provides a framework for the parties to explore opportunities in simulator development, specialised pilot training programmes and the establishment of an international network of training centres designed to support the future growth of FlyDrive mobility worldwide.
