Airbus A330-200 with increased range receives EASA certification
The new 242 tonne A330-200 that can fly up to 15 hours non-stop has received European Aviation Safety Agency certification.
This certification is for the new 242 tonne Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) version, and it is predicted that certification from the US authorities will follow shortly.
The 242 tonne A330-300 was launched in 2012, and the heavier varient is the platform for the A330neo.

The new A330-200 242t will carry passengers further, whilst reducing fuel consumption by up to two per cent.
With an operational reliability of 99.4 per cent, the A330 is the most cost-efficient aircraft in its class.
