10th Civil Aircraft Industry International Forum and 8th China Aerospace Propulsion Technology Forum was Successfully Held in Xi 'an

10th Civil Aircraft Industry International Forum and 8th China Aerospace Propulsion Technology Fourm 2019 were successfully held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province from 26th to 27th September, 2019. This forum was hosted by Chinese Society of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Organized by AVIC XAC Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shangfei Aircraft Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Co-organzied by The Administrative Committee of Xi’an Yanliang National Aviation Hi-Tech Industrial Base, AECC Xi’an Aero-Engine Ltd., Northwestern Polytechnical University and Galleon (Shanghai) Consulting Co., Ltd.

Wang Ang, the Deputy Director of Former Ministry of Aviation Industry, Honorary Chairman of the forum, delivered the opening speech. Wang Chengkuan, President of AVIC XAC Commercial Aircraft CO., Ltd. and Du Chongzhuang, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Xi’an Yanliang National Aviation Hi-Tech Industrial Base, delivered welcoming speeches to the forum together.

Aviation industry is a national strategic pillar industry. It is not only the driving force of economy, but also the status symbol of developed countries and the embodiment of national strength. At the forum, Shi Jingmin, Deputy Former Counselor, Department of Equipment Industry of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC and Deputy Director Scientific and Technological Advisory Committee Chinese Society of Aeronautics & Astronautics, made a policy interpretation for the participants. She said, at present, the R&D, design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, flight test, maintenance and other aviation industry system is complete in China. Civil aviation airworthiness certification capacity is also constantly improving, but the applicability of general aviation needs to be improved, this year, the CAAC has issued a lot of policies to promote the development of general aviation industry, improve the regulatory system.

On the other hand, China is constantly strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, embracing the world with an open attitude. As early as 2010, China has joined the WTO and has friendly contacts with other countries. In recent years, China has also implemented an open policy to the outside world and liberalized market access in the aviation industry.

10th Civil Aircraft Industry International Forum and 8th China Aerospace Propulsion Technology Fourm 2019 attracted nearly 400 delegates from governments, organizations, institutes, universities, OEMs, Parts Suppliers, Aero Engine Manufacturers and media etc, and it hosted nearly 33 domestic and foreign speakers who delivered keynote speeches. Participants spoke freely and jointly explored the road of innovation and development of the civil aircraft industry on the forum. Through this platform created a good environment for technological exchange, cooperative innovation and development, serving the industry and economic.
