Dubai Airport - Year to date traffic nears 37 million passengers.

Things just keep getting busier at Dubai, the Pearl City of the Gulf. Dubai International (DXB) welcomed over 36.9 million passengers at DXB in the first five months of this year. 


The average monthly traffic volumes remained high in 2018 at 7.4 million passengers. In addition, passenger traffic for the past 12 months totaled 88,216,118, up 2.6% compared to 85,974,096 recorded during the corresponding period in 2016-2017.


India remained the top destination country by passenger volumes with a total of 1,041,258 passengers during the month of May. Saudi Arabia placed second with 495,242 passengers, followed by the UK with 429,893.


While flight movements at DXB were down by 5.6% compared to May 2017, Dubai's hub’s efficiency increased as the average number of passengers per flight increased by 2%.
