Easter holidays are traditionally one of the busiest travel periods of the year. Demand for air travel remained high in 2026. Between 3 and 6 April 2026, SWISS carried a total of 211,527 passengers on 1,657 flights. The 2026 Easter performance confirms strong and sustained demand for travel. Despite the high passenger volume, Swiss International Air Lines ensured a stable flight operation and transported its guests reliably to their destinations. Operations remained robust, with 99.3 percent of flights operated as scheduled and a departure punctuality of 77.2 percent.
In total, SWISS operated 1,657 flights over the Easter holidays (2025: 1,725) and carried 211,527 passengers (2025: 225,885). “It is very encouraging to see that our operations ran smoothly over the Easter holidays despite the high passenger volumes. This shows that the measures we have implemented are having a lasting effect. My sincere thanks go to our employees and partners, who make this reliable operation possible every day,” said Oliver Buchhofer, Chief Operating Officer of SWISS, summarizing the extended weekend.
