The Latvian airline airBaltic on May 14, 2016, launched a new direct route between Zurich and the sunny German Island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea.

Wolfgang Reuss, SVP of Network Management of airBaltic: “The new route complements our existing services from Dortmund and Frankfurt to Heringsdorf. In collaboration with our partners, we are delighted to offer this popular summer holiday destination.”

airBaltic flies once a week from Zurich to Heringsdorf, Usedom Island using Bombardier Q400NextGen aircraft. A check-in fee will not apply on these flights, and passengers will be offered a complimentary drink, such as water/tea/coffee, and a snack while on board. The price of a one-way ticket starts at EUR 185, including airport fees and transaction costs. A full schedule of airBaltic flights can be found on the company’s homepage at www.airBaltic.com.

airBaltic serves over 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these locations, airBaltic offers convenient connections via Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, CIS and the Middle East.
